The Ukraine alone predicts reduced materials and equipment for spring planting, as much as 30% for seeds, 20% for fertilisers, Plant protection product by up to 50%, and fuel as much as 80%. This is without taking into consideration labour, infrastructure, and logistical issues.

Sunflower – This has been a stop-start commodity for most. At the beginning of March Bulgarian customs agents started turning away loads leaving the country, without any clear policy or procedure. It is clear some origins are wanting to hold onto domestic supply and making it difficult to export.
