Desiccated Coconut Market Update

The desiccated coconut market is currently in a state of flux. Demand has been good, and most producers are sold out through July. Farmers are still easily able to sell their nuts to the highest bidder.

Indonesian coconut prices have remained around the same level for some weeks now. Philippine prices have not moved a lot either, with July almost sold out. Sri Lankan prices eased a bit after the heavy increase during the 2nd FCL of May. The exchange rate is volatile, which is not creating a solid market structure for Sri Lankan exporters right now. Production of DC remains low.

The market is currently in a state of flux. Prices have remained around the same level for some weeks now, but demand has been good.
