News from the California Raisin Administrative Committee

For the period of October 11, 2015 through October 17, 2015:

16,735 tons of Natural (sun-dried) Seedless (NS) raisins were delivered to handlers.

19,021 tons of all varietal types were delivered.

28,872 tons of all varietal types were delivered for the same period last year.

64,030 tons of NS raisins have been delivered for the year-to-date. This compares to100,273 tons of NS deliveries as of this date a year ago.

86,015 tons of all varietal types have been delivered YTD, compared to 123,937 tons in 2014-2015.

2,329 tons of the NS deliveries for 2015-16 crop year are organic.

20,555 tons of NS are held on memo storage.

8,567 tons of NS are held for reconditioning.

The RAC September 2015 shipment report of Natural (sun-dried) Seedless (NS) Raisins shows that domestic shipments (including Canada) were 15,680 packed tons, compared to 16,983 tons in 2014 (-8%). Year-to-date domestic shipments are 29,724 packed tons compared to 35,350 tons at this time in 2014 (-16%).

NS export shipments (without Canada) for September 2015 were 8,749 packed tons, compared to 10,480 tons in 2014 (-17%). YTD export shipments are 16,961 packed tons, compared to 22,041 tons a year ago, a decrease of 23%.

NS shipments to all destinations year-to-date are 46,685 packed tons, compared to 57,390 packed tons for last year (-19%).
