Red Sea Shipments

Following the recent attacks on cargo vessels in response to the war in Gaza, major shipping lines have suspended passage through the Red Sea.

This is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the World and the decision to divert will add around 2 weeks to voyage times from shipments from the Far and Middle East. We are already seeing substantial hikes in freight rates to account for extra fuel usage on the alternative route around the Cape of Good Hope.

We have a duty therefore to advise our customers that there might be delays in shipments, and while we will do our utmost to manage the situation, we cannot be held responsible for things that are out of our control.

We hope that the situation will be resolved as soon as possible and will keep you informed of any further developments.
